SUMO MD HV2800-6P-L

The SUMO MD HV2800-6P-L is a 6-phase motor / inverter system from the TM4 SUMO™ family, designed for Class 4 to 7 commercial vehicles, bus platforms, and off-highway applications. It pairs a high torque / low speed permanent magnet motor with a matched CO200 high-voltage inverter, designed to interface directly with standard axles (no gearbox required). Built to IP67 / IP6K9K protection and validated against GMW3172 sprung-mass shock and vibration standards, it delivers up to 300 kW peak power and 2860 Nm peak torque in a rugged, automotive-grade package.

At its core is a proven permanent magnet motor matched to a CO200 6-phase high-voltage inverter rated for a 300–800 Vdc operating range, continuous output of 180 kW and 1050 Nm, and a maximum operating speed of 3500 RPM. This configuration is part of the latest 800 V system range, adding Quick Connect with HVIL for safe and easy installation or maintenance and an extended performance envelope. The broader SUMO MD series spans several power and torque configurations across L1 and L2 casing sizes, so the per-system ratings below define exactly what this variant delivers.

The SUMO MD HV2800-6P is designed to interface directly with standard axles (no gearbox required), removing driveline complexity at the vehicle level and easing packaging in Class 4 to 7 commercial vehicles and similar platforms. A Quick Connect option with HVIL and a range of male and female spline interfaces simplify mechanical and high-voltage integration.
