The BRUSA HyPower OBC768-3p OBC7 is a high-power on-board charger designed for heavy-duty and commercial electric vehicles — from trucks and buses to off-highway and construction machinery. The OBC768-3p supports three-phase AC charging up to 22 kW and manages DC fast charging, including DC contactor driving, across a 400–860 V DC battery range. Its AEC-Q automotive-grade component design, galvanic isolation with reinforced insulation and IP6K9K/IP6K7D protection make it a robust choice for demanding vehicle platforms.

The OBC768-3p combines an integrated active power-factor-correction stage with an AUTOSAR-compliant architecture and flash-bootloader software updates, delivering 22.08 kW nominal three-phase output at 95 / 96 % nominal/peak efficiency with a power factor of 0.98 and THDi below 4 %. Charging communication supports CCS1, CCS2, ISO 15118-2, IEC 61851 and DIN Spec 70121, and the vehicle interface runs CAN 2.0a or J1939 at 250 / 500 / 1000 kbps with CAN-FD hardware readiness. The charger is designed to ISO 26262 with functional-safety goals rated up to ASIL B, an advanced cybersecurity concept with a hardware security module to ISO 21434, UNECE R155 and R156, a passive HV interlock and active/passive discharge.

The OBC768-3p integrates into the vehicle through configurable CAN IDs, plug-lock and LED control, inlet management and DC charge-contactor control, and supports scalable power through parallel operation of multiple units. It interfaces with standard charging infrastructure via SAE J1772, IEC 61851 or GB/T 18487.1, wakes the vehicle over CAN with a Type 2 inlet, and runs from a 9–32 V low-voltage supply with reverse-polarity protection. Shown specifications are valid for the series product and subject to change; some cybersecurity functions remain under ongoing assessment.
