OpenECU M130
The M130 OpenECU is a compact multi-purpose controller designed to support applications that require four CAN channels in a small form factor, including CAN-to-CAN message forwarding, CAN-to-LIN message translation, and sensor-to-CAN data broadcasting. Applications could be a CAN gateway module, a CAN to LIN gateway, a CAN I/O expansion box, smart relay driver, an embedded system control supervisor or an alternative fuel system controller.
The M130 is managed by an advanced 32-Bit NXP microprocessor and has 4 highs speed CAN2.0B channels, a total of 6 analog/digital inputs, 2 analog voltage outputs and 1 5V 200mA sensor power supply output. The M130 can whitelist specific IDs to shield one CAN bus from unwanted CAN messages on a different bus, for data protection purposes and can also be used to modify the CAN messages from one bus before transmitting them on the other bus. Using the two LIN channels and the six analog inputs, the M130 can also broadcast smart sensor data to any of its four CAN busses.
The M130 is programmed using MATLAB/Simulink tools that significantly speed up algorithm development by using automatic software integration and code generation. In addition, developers can quickly test application software using simulations and automated testing. Dana systems, controls and software engineers are available to support application implementations from prototype to production.
