OpenECU CCU
The CCU OpenECU is a rugged charge control unit designed for xEV charging control applications, including battery electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Designed to meet ISO 26262 up to ASIL B and developed according to ISO 21434, it supports ISO 15118-2 CCS, ISO 15118-20, DIN 70121 and SAE J1772. The 36-pin connector with flexible I/O and user friendly OpenECU™ Simulink application interface make the CCU a great rapid prototyping platform that can be carried through to volume production.
The powerful Infineon Aurix TC387 microcontroller running at 300 MHz provides sophisticated rationality checking and system safety monitoring for charging control applications. DC fast-charging PLC communication is onboard according to ISO 15118. Power Inlet I/O includes PP signalling, lock actuator h-bridge output, lock position feedback input and 3× PT1000 inputs. An integrated HSM supports Secure Boot, Code Signing, Enhanced Security Lifecycle, HSM Secure Firmware Update, Secure Keystore, Security Access and Secure Logging, providing the foundation to meet UN R155 and R156 cybersecurity requirements.
The CCU is programmed using OpenECU Simulink and C-code development environments, significantly speeding up algorithm development through automatic software integration and code generation. It supports common calibration tools such as ATI Vision and Vector CANape via CCP, in addition to the in-house OpenECU Calibrator™. Dana's systems, controls and software engineers are available to support application implementations from prototype to production.
